1970 born in Steyr [AUSTRIA]
1978 first cello lessons out of bourgeois family tradition
1988 moving from Steyr to Vienna after finishing school - random studies in natural sciences.
1990 first contact with experimental cello playing - namely a concert of "Tom Cora and the Ex".
1990 –1997 absorbing the experimental Viennese underground scene while starting various bands [experimental pop/rock etc..], touring Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria, composing electronic music for countless dance and theater performances.
1994 first performance at an international music festival, starting to develop an obsession for field recording.
1994 – 2004 studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, graduated with master in music & mathematics.
2004 first solo CD release, first SoundArt Installation, since then living and working as a independent artist. Appearances at various international music & SoundArt festivals, CD releases, comissioned compositions, residencies, etc..
2004 – 2015 member of the kleylehof13 artist group.
Since 2007 curating / organizing: for reheat festival [2007-2015], an annual SoundArt exhibition in Nickelsdorf [since 2009], performance series DerBlödeDritteMittwoch [since 2012].
Since 2010 teaching in Multi Media Art at University of Applied Science, Salzburg.

The composer, sound-artist, cello player and improvisor understands his work as fundamental research, leading to a wide range of contradictory outcome, spanning from cello-solo and tape-pieces to compositions for ensembles, improvisation scores or performances with electronic or hybrid instruments, from sound-installations to videos and imaginary music.
Consequently ignoring the border between soundart and music, his main interests are the research on space and his lifetime occupation with the cello.
