Ähnlich wie das weiße Licht alle Farben enthält, sind auch im Rauschen alle akustischen Informationen vorhanden, das Rauschen aus allen Richtungen schirmt uns aber auch wie ein dicker Vorhang von allem ab was uns umgibt, schafft einen intimen Raum, in dem wir ganz auf uns selbst zurückgeworfen sind, dem Rauschen in unserem Kopf ausgeliefert.
Die Komposition "Rausch / Rauschen" erzeugt einen immersiven Ort, einen Zustand der Reizüberflutung bei gleichzeitiger Informationsdeprivation und evoziert so ein akustisches „WhiteOut“.
Die Komposition ist als Versuchsanordnung konzipiert in die sich der Komponist / Performer gemeinsam mit dem Publikum begibt.
Seine Aufgabe ist es nicht irgendetwas zu zeigen / zu präsentieren, sonder vielmehr sich selbst als Teilnehmer des Versuchs zu begreifen – als Messinstrument und Gradmesser ob und wie sehr sich Effekte einstellen.

Just as white light contains all colors, all acoustic information is also present in the noise, but the noise from all directions also shields us from everything surrounding us like a thick curtain, creating an intimate space throwing us back on ourselves, alone with the noise inside our heads.
The composition "Rausch / Rauschen" creates an immersive place, a state of sensory overload with simultaneous information deprivation, thus evoking an acoustic "white-out".
The composition is conceived as an experimental set-up in which the composer/performer enters together with the audience.
His task is not to show/present anything, but rather to see himself as a participant in the experiment - as a measuring instrument and indicator of whether and to what extent effects occur.
